Dreamers "Steps to Success" Roadmap

Mission College is committed to empowering students by providing a wide range of resources designed to support their academic success and overall well-being. We strive to ensure that every student has access to the tools, guidance, and information they need to thrive.

The undocumented student population includes individuals without legal status, those with work authorization (DACA), and students who are eligible for AB 540, AB 130, and AB 131. The following resources serve as a hub for students, faculty, staff, and the community.


California Dream Act Application

California Dream Act Application lets students apply for state financial aid to attend eligible California colleges, universities, or career education programs. It is not connected to the federal DACA program. Apply by March 2 for the upcoming school year.

Steps to Follow if Immigration Enforcement Agents Arrive on Campus

Notify District Police: Mission College is a sanctuary campus.

In the event of a possible Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) sighting on or near campus, it is imperative that all employees immediately notify District Police and the Vice President of Student Services (VPSS).

Do not attempt to independently verify ICE presence. Any scanning or review of campus spaces to confirm ICE activity must be conducted in coordination with designated campus personnel and/or Campus Police.

If you need assistance immediately, contact District Police at (408) 299-3233. Employees must never share student information with outside parties. All requests for student information should be directed to the Office of the Chancellor, West Valley-Mission Community College District.

Need Support: If you’re looking for help, connect with our Undocu Allies not outside agents at these campus locations:
  • Business and Technology (BT) Building, Room 225A
  • Campus Center (CC), Rooms 222 or 231
  • Gillmor Center (GC), Room 217
  • Student Engagement Center (SEC), Rooms 120B, 331, or 341
Refer Agents to the President’s Office: Escort or direct all agents to the President’s Office in the Student Engagement Center (SEC), Office 341. Do not allow ICE agents entry without approval. The President will decide the proper response. For immediate assistance, call the President’s Office at (408) 855-5123.

Stand By as a Witness: Stay nearby to observe the interaction only if you feel safe doing so.

Follow Up and Share Resources: After the incident, provide support and share relevant resources with students and colleagues.
