Jamille hails from New York, and is passionate about the human experience and its many fantastic layers.  She earned her Bachelors in Psychology from the State University of New York: New Paltz and a Masters in Educational Psychology from Hunter College, Manhattan.

Jamille has worked within non-profits, research foundations, and offices of institutional research from sea to shining sea (NY and CA). She prides herself on the contributions to projects that aim to transform the educational plain and ultimately improve the multifaceted student experience.

Specifically, Jamille has empirically explored socio-emotional research constructs such as Self-Efficacy, Expectancy-Value, Academic Identity, Community Cultural Wealth, Grading Beliefs, and Guided Pathways both quantitatively and qualitatively.

Research interests

Implicit Bias, Theory of Possible Self, Self Determination Theory, and Near Peer Learning.

Jamille says, "I’m from upstate New York and did a lot of fox hunting on horseback in my hay day!"
