Kelly  Neary

Faculty, Biological Sciences

Kelly has been an instructor for the Biological Sciences department at Mission College since 2006. Her passion is teaching Human Physiology, but she teaches a variety of other courses for the department as well. Prior to joining Mission College, Kelly was adjunct faculty at Foothill College and a lecturer at San Jose State University. She also worked as a research associate for the California Institute for Medical Research.

Kelly’s research interest is in vision neurophysiology.  Her graduate and post-graduate research studied the effect of transcranial magnetic stimulation of the visual cortex on visual perceptual learning.

Fast Facts

When not teaching, Kelly can be found spending time with her husband Kevin, her kids Aidan and Avery, and her Boston Terrier Baxter. Kelly’s hobbies include photography and playing the piano. Her absolute favorite place to be is at the beach with her family.
