Born and raised in the Santa Cruz Mountains, Nita is a mountain girl at heart. Her dad proudly refers to Nita and her three older sisters as his "burly girlies." Nita and her husband, Rick, are expecting their first child in early 2014, and both are already proud parents to two young labs, Bochy (chocolate male) and Posey (yellow female), who seem to get away with just about anything. Nita is a SF Giants fan, outdoor enthusiast, 10K runner, animal lover, and avid reader of silly books.
