Articulation Officer/Counseling Faculty/Honors Transfer Project Coordinator/Division Chair, Student Support Services

Yolanda has been working in education and assisting students for over 25 years. In addition to providing academic and personal counseling to the general student population, Yolanda is the campus Articulation Officer, working closely with 4-year colleges and universities to assist in a smooth transfer process for students. She is also the Coordinator of the Honors Transfer Project which provides highly motivated students the opportunity to work closely with instructors and other motivated students. Yolanda is currently the Student Services Division Chair, works closely with the Middle College program, serves on various campus committees and teaches several Counseling courses each year.

Fast Facts

Yolanda is the first in her family to earn a degree and has since then inspired several family members to do the same.  She is a huge Golden State Warrior fan and an even bigger San Francisco 49er fan.  She is an avid power walker and has completed several 5Ks, 10Ks, and half marathons.  When not working, she can be found camping or amusement park-hopping with her 3 boys.  She also loves the beach and being active outdoors.
